Amy Browne Smith

– Amy Browne Smith received her BFA in dance from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia studying modern and ballet.  Amy has taught and performed throughout the Tri-State area independently and as part of the Young Audiences program while working with Tap Team Two & Co., Inc. Amy was also a company member of T.A.P. She has performed in many venues including a feature performance for the New York Foundation of the Arts at Town Hall in NYC. Amy has studied extensively with many tap masters and has shared the stage with tap legends LaVaughn Robinson, Germaine Ingram, Shelley Oliver, Jason Samuels, Brenda Bufalino, and Buster Brown. She is the former Program Director of the Lehigh Valley Dance Forum. She was the Director of Dance for Pennsylvania Youth Theatre where she also served as an instructor.  She has been teaching for the past 22 years and has been invited to teach at many performing art schools and universities including The University of the Arts. She also teaches the Moravian College Dance Company tap dancers and she choreographs for their spring concert.  Amy enjoys sharing her love of dance through her work as a founding member of Tap Ties. Amy is so proud to work with such talented teaches and call Art of Dance home, where she has taught with Susan for the last 20+ years.
